Fred's is a gem among Sarasota restaurants, not only because of the food, wine, and martini selection, but also because of the atmosphere and service. There are a lot of adjectives that can be used to describe Fred's ambience, but none that quite depict the Fred's experience.

Fred's captures the aliveness of a Manhattan grill and the quaintness of a French bistro, while fitting perfectly into the modern Sarasota side street setting. There are many striking visuals as you enter the restaurant: colorful, hand-blown, Italian glass light fixtures, artwork and old photographs, terra cotta glazed walls, copper ceilings and tile floors. The French windows and doorsto the awning covered sidewalk with patio seating.

Whether you're in the mood for a little privacy or the communal environment offered at the bar, Fred's can comfortably accommodate both. The dining room and bar have several intimate eating areas divided by wooden panels and art deco glass panes. The mirror-backed bar has raised booths, marble top tables and barstools and the dining room is large enough to accommodate a large number of people, while the layout and decor surround you with charm.
