Gary graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He worked for Vista International in Pittsburgh, PA. He then transferred to Hilton International in Toronto, Canada before working for Movenpick Restaurants in Toronto, Canada. Gary had the distinct pleasure of working with the famous chef and author, Roger Verge.
Gary moved back to the United States and was Sous Chef at The Bijou Café in Sarasota, Florida. After 3 years there he started working at The Longboat Key Club, a four star resort, as Sous Chef of the Orchid Room, the resort’s fine dining room. There he had the opportunity to participate in many resort culinary events such as Wine Fest and monthly cooking demos.
He then started with Epicurean Life and was there from the first dinner prepared at Fred’s restaurant. He has a strong passion for his profession and likes to experiment with new and innovative tastes.
